Pretoria City Tour (Jacaranda City)
The Union Buildings houses the offices of the South African president and are located atop the Meintjieskop in the Arcadia suburb of Tshwane. It is an important South African heritage site and is surrounded by pretty terraced gardens offering panoramic views over the city. The buildings were designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built to accommodate the Government Ministerial Offices. Not far from the Union Buildings is the Voortrekker Monument, designed by Gerard Moerdyk. The granite monument comprises huge figures of the Great Trek leaders. It is surrounded by a laager of life-size ox-wagons. There is also a museum and a restaurant. President Kruger House, in Church Street, is a National Monument and has been completely restored. The house now contains many personal possessions of Paul Kruger, who lived here until 1900. The President’s state and private railway coaches are also on display.

Soweto
Early 1900’s establishment, famous for the major events through the Apartheid struggle that played an important part – not only for Soweto but South Africa as a whole. Visit Hector Peterson Museum, Nelson Mandela house. Guided tours with a qualified tourist guide in and around Soweto can be arranged on request

Pretoria Zoo
Pretoria’s National Zoological Gardens are the largest in Africa and among the world’s foremost. Founded in 1899 as a farm with a few indigenous animals on the banks of the Apies River, the zoo today covers an area of 50 ha. It is home to 750 specimens of 135 mammal species, nearly 2000 specimens of 236 bird species and 600 specimens of 95 reptile species. There are also several rare exotic animals. Among them are the ruffed lemur, pigmy hippopotamus, scimitar-horned oryx, addaz antelope, Waldrappibis, European bison, pigmy crocodile, and the only pair of Grevy’s zebra in the country. The zoo also has a complete collection of Africa’s cat family, and all four anthropoid apes - orangutans, gorilla, chimpanzee and gibbon. It was the first zoo in the world to record the birth of a white rhino in captivity. It is the only zoo in Africa with an insectarium, a white tiger, as well as a breeding pair of Prezewalski horses.

Sun City and Pilanesberg Day Tour
From Johannesburg or Pretoria, we travel west, passing the scenic Hartbeespoort Dam en route to the Pilanesberg National Park. The Park is situated next to the famous Sun City resort complex. The eroded crater of a long extinct volcano is the setting of the 55 000 Ha Pilanesberg National Park. The Park is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the Africa’s legendary Big Five. Lunch is followed by a short drive to Sun City, where the afternoon is devoted to exploring this magnificent resort. Its unique architectural style, man-made lakes and tropical gardens are a feast for the eye. The tour returns to Johannesburg or Pretoria in the late afternoon. Apartheid Museum
You will feel that you were in the townships in the 70s and 80s, after a few hours at the Apartheid Museum. Dodging police bullets or tear gas canisters, or marching and toy-toying with thousands of school children, or carrying the body of a comrade into the nearby house. This extraordinary powerful museum has already become the city’s leading tourist attraction. It is an obligatory stop for visitors and residents alike. The Museum is five kilometers south of the city center, next to the Gold Reef City Casino. It will leave you long lasting impression with its large blown-up photographs, metal cages and numerous monitors recording continuous replays of apartheid scenes set in a double volume ceiling, red brick walls, concrete and grey concrete floor.

Cullinan Diamond Mine Tour

Visit the mine that produce some of the world’s largest high quality gemstones and is the home of the world’s largest diamond. Recently, a number of record braking blue diamonds have been found including a 122.52 carat diamond which achieved a value of US$ 27.6 million in 2014. Lion Park
Enjoy a drive through this park with its various antelope species and lion camps and photo opportunity with lion cubs. Get closer than you could ever imagine to Africa’s most incredible wildlife from the safety of our vehicle. The Lion and Safari Park is a 600 hectare wilderness reserve situated in the Hartebeespoort, Magaliesburg and Cradle of Humankind area.

Sterkfontein Caves + Lion Park
The total of over 700 hominid specimens found here has made Sterkfontein the world’s richest hominid site. In 1947 a well-preserved skull of a species of early man known as Plesianthropus trasvaalenssis was discovered. The skull became known as Mrs. Ples-askull which derives its name from Pleasianthropus (meaning almosthuman), dating back 2.5-million years. A section of the caves is visited on an hour long guided tour and the excavation site can be viewed. A visit to the newly built Sterkfontein Orientation Centre is also included, displaying information about significant findings, as well as general information on human and cultural evolution.

Cradle Of Humankind:
Rhino Lion Park, Sterkfontein Caves, Wonder Caves, Maropeng Centre
Situated in a World Heritage Site, The Cradle of Humankind, this 1 000 hectare park is home to over 700 head of game including white rhino, lion, buffalo, cheetah, wild dog, hippo and crocodile. The newly built breeding centre houses Bengal and Siberian tigers, jaguars and white lions.

Elephant Sanctuary
INCLUDED: Visit to the African Craft Market. Elephant Interaction Program: 7 days a week, at 08h00; 10h00 and 14h00 Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours (approx)
Guests are guided in small groups on foot through the Elephant Sanctuary. Guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants. You will be introduced to the elephants in the forest area, walk approx 200m, and here you will be able to touch and interact with the elephants.

Lesedi cultural village

The tour includes an audio-visual presentation, visits to four homesteads, traditional dancing and singing and a buffet of the finest African cuisine. Tswaing Crater Trail
Situated just 40km north of Pretoria lies the Tswaing Asteroid Crater which is believed to have been created when an Asteroid collided with Earth about 200,000 years ago. All that is left of the collision is a crater surrounded by a ring of hill about 100m high and a kilometre across. These hills are believed to have been originally twice this height. Tswaing is the Tswana word and it means Place of Salt, which refers to the salty lake found at the bottom of the crater.
