The Three Rondavels

Mpumalanga Province

Mpumalanga province is one of South Africa's top tourist destinations. The entire area offers exceptional opportunities for bird-watching, hiking, horse-riding and trout fishing, as well as magnificent scenery.  The province is also home to the world-renowned Kruger park and several luxurious private reserves on its western boundary. While we do the driving and transfer you from OR Tambo airport,  you will have the opportunity to see some stunning scenery. Depending on your final destination, there will be a few routes available to choose from. One such route will lead us off the N4 to the village of Dullstroom, then we travel over the Long Tom Pass and its splendid panoramic views to Lone Creek Falls and the small forestry town of Sabie.  Just after Sabie, we drive past the Mac Mac Falls and you can treat yourself to a swim in the crystal-clear Mac-Mac pools. A small detour will lead us to Pilgrim's Rest - a fascinating historic mining town, well worth exploring before continuing to Blyderivierspoort Nature Reserve. There are few viewing points offering superb views of the river, the Blyde River Canyon and the mountains with the Three Rondavels overlooking the canyon. At the southern tip of the reserve, we visit God's Window with its magnificent view across the Lowveld. From there, we drive through Graskop en route to some of the best private game reserves in the country like  Timbavati, Sabi sand and others
