Pretoria City Tour (Jacaranda City)   The Union Buildings, in Church Street, are situated in beautiful gardens. They were designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built to  house  the Government Ministerial Offices. Voortrekker Monument comprises huge figures of the Great Trek leaders on the  four corners of this granite monument, designed by Gerard Moerdyk. The Monument is surrounded by a laager of life-size ox-wagons. There is also a Voortrekker museum and a restaurant. President Kruger House, in Church Street, is a National Monument, and has been completely restored. The house now contains many personal possessions of Paul Kruger, who lived here until 1900.  The President's state and private railway coaches are also on display.

Pretoria Zoo  Pretoria's National Zoological Gardens are the largest in Africa and among the world's foremost. Founded in 1899 as a farm with a few indigenous animals on the banks of the Apies River, the zoo today covers 50ha north  of Boom Street. It is home to 750 specimens of 135 mammal species, nearly 2000 specimens of 236 bird species and 600 specimens of 95 reptile species. There are also several rare exotic animals, among them the ruffed lemur, pigmy hippopotamus, scimitar-horned oryx, addaz  antelope, Waldrapp ibis, European bison, pigmy crocodile, and the only pair of Grevy's zebra in the country. The zoo also has a complete collection of Africa's cat family, and all four anthropoid apes (orangoutans, gorilla, chimpanzee and gibbon). It was the first zoo in the world to record the birth of a white rhino in captivity and is the only zoo in Africa with an insectarium, a white tiger, as well as a breeding pair of Prezewalski horses.

Sun City and Pilanesberg Day Tour From Johannesburg or Pretoria we travel west, passing the scenic Hartebeestpoort Dam en route to the Pilanesberg National Park. The Park is situated adjacent to the famous Sun City resort complex. The eroded crater of a long extinct volcano, is the setting of the 55 000 Ha Pilanesberg National Park. The Park is home to an abundance of wildlife, not least being Africa's legendary Big Five. Lunch is followed by a short drive to Sun City, where the afternoon is devoted to exploring this magnificent resort. Its unique architectural style, man made lakes and tropical gardens, is a feast for the eye. The tour returns to Johannesburg or Pretoria in the late afternoon. After a few hours at the Apartheid Museum you will feel that you were in the townships in the 70s and 80s, dodging police  bullets or teargas canisters, or marching and toy-toying with thousands of school children, or carrying the body of a comrade into a nearby  house. This extraordinary powerful museum has already become the city's leading tourist attraction, an obligatory stop for visitors and residents alike. The Museum, with its large blown-up photographs, metal cages and numerous monitors recording continuous replays of apartheid scenes set in a double volume ceiling, concrete and red brick walls and grey concrete floor, is next to the Gold Reef City Casino, five kilometers south of the city centre.

Sterkfontein Caves + Lion Park

Price includes: Transport,entrance fees. The total of over 700 hominid specimens found here has made Sterkfontein the world's richest hominid site. In 1947 a well- preserved skull of a species of early man known as Plesianthropus trasvaalenssis was discovered.  The skull became known as Mrs.Ples-a skull which derives its name from Pleasianthropus (meaning almost human), dating back 2.5-million years. A  section of the caves is visited on an hour long guided tour and the excavation site can be viewed. A visit to the newly built  Sterkfontein Orientation Centre is also included, displaying information about significant findings, as well as general information on  human and  cultural evolution.

You will see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of it. Short walk with the elephants trunk-in-hand. Terms & Conditions

Some prices are for one way transfer only, others are for a full day trip. Discounts available for return trips as well as for single trips. The prices would apply for transfers between 07:00 and 20:00 only . Some rates are quoted per person some are per vehicle. Small children travel free. All transfers are direct door to door. There is NO surcharge for an additional stop. Please call us for any route not available on the rate chart as well as for the latest prices. Rates are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to arrange for passengers to be taken on by another company running the same tour, should circumstances require it. Payments must be made no later than 30 days from the date of the transfer. Failure to do so will result in Evo's African Shuttle charging you the maximum interest rate allowed by the National Credit Act Payments Accepted: 1) Direct Bank Transfer in advance. This is the preferred method as it is the safest and cheapest option. All bank charges and commissions are for the depositor's account. 2) Credit card payments are now accepted. Please note that different prices apply when paying with a credit card due to the bank fees 3) Cash in South African Rand (ZAR) payable to the driver. We do not accept cheques for single once-off shuttle transfers. Regular customers may open an account with us where we invoice you or your company on a monthly basis. If a trailer is required, a surcharge of R.120.00 will be charged. Transfers between 21.00 - 07.00 by appointment only. A surcharge per transfer is chargeable for late night transfers between 21:00 and 06:00 daily: 21.00 - 06.00 - 10% of the price Should a transfer be confirmed for a future date with a 50% deposit, we will honour the rate as quoted when booked. A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on reservation and the balance is payable 3 weeks before departure. If a reservation is cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged and will be determined as follows : Cancellation Fees: Please note that a cancellation fee of 100% of the total price applies for day tours and transfers cancelled less than 24 hours If the cancellation is done - a) at least 30 days prior to the start of the tour- 0% of the balance amount. b) 14 – 30 days prior to the start of the tour - 25% of the balance amount. c) 7 – 14 days prior to the start of the tour - 50% of the balance amount. d) less than 7 days prior to the start of the tour- 75% of the balance amount.  While "Evo's African Shuttle", their employees, and/or agents will take every care against such contingencies, they can not be held responsible for, and shall be exempt from any liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person and/or his/her luggage or personal property. At "Evo's African Shuttle" we do offer passenger liability insurance, but we strongly advise all tourist and passengers to take out adequate travel insurance to cover personal accidents, medical expenses and loss of baggage.
